Composer Note:

     In the title of “Bun Leng Rock Fantasia”, the phrase ‘bun leng’ in Thai means ‘to play music’. The idea is to present two saxophone solos along with Thai traditional musical instruments in a progressive rock style. Both of the saxophone parts present the concept of ‘Bun Leng’ in terms of the colours by express the saxophone techniques Slap-Tongue, Multiphonic, Bisbigliando, Circular Breathing and Altissimo. Throughout the piece, there are also other influences of Thai traditional music, such as the musical instruments, traditional melody, and pentatonic scales.
