Pegasus

Composer Note:
Pegasus, or the winged horse, is known both as a mythical creature from Greek mythology and as the name of one of the 48 ancient constellations. The musical composition for the saxophone quartet was inspired by the modular concept, similar to architectural works, particularly those of Le Corbusier, a Swiss architect. He proposed the idea of using independent components to create a complex large-scale structure. This concept is mirrored in the star map, which consists of various celestial constellations forming the musical piece "Caelestibus," the third movement of "Prospered Night." Pegasus, as a constellation, is one of these celestial groups. The composition of Pegasus is divided into three sections: The Birth of Pegasus, The Beauty of Pegasus, and The Battle with Chimera. These sections are performed seamlessly in sequence.
