Warin Kanchananurag

     Warin Kanchananurag is a 21-year-old composer from Thailand and an undergraduate student in Music Composition at the College of Music, Mahidol University. He began his musical education at the Mahidol Young Artist Music Program (YAMP) as a classical piano major under Dr. Teeranai Jirasirikul before shifting his focus to composition. His interest evolved from performing to exploring the creative process behind music.

     Warin has distinguished himself as a talented young composer, winning a prestigious prize in the 2024 SCG Young Thai Artist Competition (YTA) for his outstanding compositional work. Prior to this achievement, he also demonstrated his musical abilities in piano by participating in several other notable piano competitions, such as the Sugree Charoensook International Music Competition (SIMC) and various Young Artist Music Competition (YAMC) events. These experiences have not only showcased Warin's skills as a composer and pianist but have also contributed to his growth and development as a well-rounded musician.
